Preamble

What are we doing?

Looking at new monitors for the Cole Group. Comparing different features, pros/cons n'at

Why are we doing it?

The monitors available in the Cole group are old... the usefulness of the monitors remaining is a topic of debate. Some argue they are antiquated.

New monitors would help productivity in the workspace. More space and higher resolution for working items will allow for more freedom in completing tasks and help to increase the bandwidth between flesh and machine.

Who cares?

Cole Group.

What We Need

Monitors

This depends on what route we go. If we use traditional monitors, we likely need dual monitors:

  • 2 for Robert('s desk)
  • 2 for DAS
  • 2 for PAM
  • 2 for LFB 8 Standard Width Monitors Total

If we use ultrawides:

  • 1 for Robert('s desk)
  • 1 for DGC
  • 1 for PAM
  • 1 for LFB 4 Ultrawide Monitors

Other Nice-to-haves

Mouse pads. Several

Ultrawides

There is some enthusiasm about Ultrawide monitors. Some benefits include a reduced quantity of them required--one ultrawide can take the place of two monitors in a dual use configuration.
