What is happening?
Jonathan is getting married to Ngoc. They have decided to do a destination wedding near Florence, Italy. This is happening May 18-22. They have a website link here. Here's how I understand their wedding plan:
- Sunday, May 18: Arrival
- Monday, May 19: Welcome Party
- Tuesday, May 20: Wedding
- Wednesday, May 21: ??? Farewell breakfast?
- Thursday, May 22: Check-out Wednesday is ambiguous. I had communication with Grandma or Jonathan about when the farewell breakfast is, but I've lost that. Transportation to and from the airport in Florence is provided on Sunday and Thursday.
In addition to the wedding, we were discussing traveling to Sicily with Grandma. The tentative plan is 4 nights:
- Thursday, May 22: Travel to Sicily
- Friday, May 23: ???
- Saturday, May 24: ???
- Sunday, May 25: Travel to Rome from Sicily
- (ROME) Monday, May 26: Travel to Home
That leaves travel things to iron out. We know that flying across the Atlantic is going to take a toll on Grandma, so ideally we don't do anything on those days. Or at least provide some recuperation time.
Itinerary
Sunday, May 18th: Arrival
Goal: Travel to Borgo Di Pietrafitta Plan: Fly to Rome, train to Florence.
