Today is August 13th, 2025, otherwise known as judgment
day. Just kidding, but today I have my meeting with Dan
about my topic ideas. I feel anxious, but pretty good in
general. I saw Dan this morning and he seems to be in good
spirits. I can do this!
## Work
My eye doctor appointment was also today. The results? My
prescription is pretty much the same. I also do not have
glaucoma it looks like. Doc was surprised I wear glasses at
all, figuring the binocular detriment of glasses in my case.
Honestly, he's right, I should wear contacts more often.
I'll try to make a point to do that. Now that I have this
new prescription, I can get on ordering more contacts from
Costco. Dr. Clermont also recommend to try and stay around
twelve hours of usage a day to minimize hydration issues. He
said pushing 16 some times is okay. 12 hours would be 7-7
(duh), while 16 would be 7-11pm. We also discussed LASIK,
and he said honestly I'd be a great candidate. He gave me a
note with a number to call.
Today is also our group meeting. Apparently it's a
'standup' now.

## Personal
Personally I'm doing pretty okay. I'm trying to focus on
framing things in a more positive way. I think it is working
somewhat; there's moments where things click in a way I
don't feel as anxious about.
On the lady front, I finally hit app-burnout. I was reading
a text and the typos just made me angry. Like, c'mon, read
your message! This isn't rational, however, as any number of
things can create a typo and it really isn't a big deal.
There's no reason I should get so frustrated at something so
small like that.
Anyways, here's the roster and relevant updates:
**Miranda**:
Miranda is cool and I like her a good bit. She's funny,
seems somewhat interested in me, and is a great time to be
around. That being said, I need to be careful. I'm getting
somewhat infatuated with her but there isn't really a super
strong connection there yet. This is one that I need to
really step off the brakes with and see how things develop.
She is going on vacation with her family next Friday, and
then going solo camping after that. Then, I'm really going
to try and let her set something up.
