A lot of fundamental questions will be asked. They want to identify weaknesses. 
Clearly explain in written proposal and in oral presentation how the topic addressed is different from current PhD research / dissertation topic.
Submit written proposal by Nov 13th to Dr. Cho. He will forward it to the committee. 
You can ask the exam committee for an idea of what kind of questions they'll ask. That's okay. They'll tell you no if can't get specific but you might get some hints.
