+The MEMS Graduate Student Association is launching a Research Spotlight to highlight students’ work. This spotlight will go out in a department wide email, and is supposed to be a means for students to get to know the broad range of work that we do. You’ve been randomly selected as one of the first two spotlight participants.
+
+If you’re interested, please send me:
+
+1. A photo of yourself or an image that represents your work.
+2. A short (<300 words) paragraph including:
+    - A brief introduction (who you are, your track, and where you are in your degree)
+    - A summary of your research goals
+    - A description of your key research tasks
+    - The impact of your research
+3. Any additional items you’d like to share (e.g., recent publications or projects).

+If you're not interested, that's okay! Send me an email back so I can select a new student in your stead.
